I’m against this twist. It was more compelling when he wasn’t a total murdering jackass. He was a delinquent who did something awful, and found a girl he wanted to be better for, and his father screwed him over even after he tried so hard. It would’ve also been a good parallel to Benedict who’s forced to deal with the trauma in the moment compared to Landen who had to suffer for years and better himself. Making him murder Naomi and reframe the suicide as a murder just makes him evil for being evil and destroys all empathy we just built for him.
what was she even thinking when she released him ?! and taking responsibility …….how do you plan on taking responsibility for naomi’s life that was lost by your careless thinking?……it’s entirely your fault
