So many things are wrong here. It seems like Laura’s initial plan was to expose Hayden as someone else’s child to the count. Since he already knew and loves Hayden regardless it didn’t work. Now she’s claiming he’s Laden’s son to give the count a reason to hate him. I don’t think it’s gonna work. The count might be a bad husband but he’s a good father.

The situation is still very complicated between the family. The parents lack the minimum amount of communication needed for trust to form. However, this chapter did seem like a start, a small one, but still a start. And they NEED to stop complaining about things with their child.
