Yeah, I’m starting to think that this is a misunderstanding, and that Benny does love his wife, but Grace thinks he’s more into Aria. Even though Benny may be killing people who hurt his wife such as that tailor, or like when he chucked a damn chest at a drunk who insulted Grace at the festival.
And the Servants are very well aware of how much Benny cares for Grace, but OG Grace’s destroyed self-esteem influencing FL could be a sign that well, OG Grace assumed her husband was just being nice out of pity.
Also, bit of a theory after 13 chapters but… I’m starting to think Benny’s obsession with Aria in the original story is a combination of Grief over Grace’s death, and possibly revenge against Aria in the event something Aria did (or didn’t do, if we consider the “disease” that supposedly led to OG Grace’s death in the original version of events) led to Grace’s death.
SO yeah. Grief-induced madness over Grace’s death could have led to Benny seeing Aria as Grace’s “Killer” due to either not using the powers of the Saintess to help Grace *or* Aria’s actions did something that caused Grace’s death without Aria realizing it as a sort of domino effect.
I know this will probably lead to some misunderstanding bullshit in the story but ngl, that guy is a whiny ass useless bitch who cant care for his own depressed wife for 1 or 2 years of marriage and then the author tries to make that scum look like a puppy sometimes? NAHH.
Either she drops him and gets a REAL ml or I drop this cuz fuck this
@Nikki You can only help someone so much. Change has to come from with in. It seems like he showered his wife in love and she ALWAYS misunderstood it. (I’m not blaming her for misunderstanding.) This is also a reason why you need to speak up for yourself. If you like/dislike something say it. THAT’S what I blame her for.
I don’t really care if the husband likes our FL or not if she doesn’t feel like staying it better to leave it should always be her choice over his. Also I didn’t like the expression the so called saint gave

I agree. I think he blamed Aria for Grace’s death. I assume he begged Aria to bless/cure Grace but it didn’t happen and he went mad over her death.
