I firmly believe that the novel she read was a tragic story. Maybe the real Ariel knew Evans even when they were young that’s why she forced herself to him hoping that he’ll recall her. But he ended up falling inlove with the real villain the gurl with skyblue hair. Then after Ariel got executed the tragic backstory will be revealed that princes was fooled by his chosen lover.
Not a twist that I like….. At least as it is now. Because in the og story he only felt better with the og FL does that mean that she is also part / born from that experiment?
The stereotype of “love is your cure” or “cause she is a soul from a other world” would fit better…. At least in my mind from what we know till now
