So, after studying Psychology for a little while, I think I know why they still have similar minds to children. In their previous lives, they only grew to about 18, right? Therefore they were still pretty young. A human’s brain cannot fully develop until 25! This means that, even though they might have previous memories to help them mature more, they still act and think like children because they are. They need to grow lots more.
This also explains why the 10 year old brother is so smart. His brain is as big as an 18 year old, therefore he has a lot more mature thoughts and actions.
