There seems to be a pattern of the twins sympathizing with someone, that person using them, they realize that they actually like the twins and repent, arc is over and we basically stop seeing them.
Also, wouldn’t it be easier to keep an eye on him if they befriend him first? It’s not like they can just ignore him – being classmates.
