Don’t understand how the concubine is being treated so well. She should be abandoned by all the maids because she has no favor with the emperor, pathetically washing her own things, and nearly starving in a run down palace. Agreed!!! I guess its coz of the prophecy; she’s only a concubine coz of it. That’s probably why she has the single handmaid. And coz his brother is still royalty and she’s still his concubine, they have to put up appearances but they don’t really put much emphasis on that sort of thing in this story unless it directly impacts the plot.
