To me this change in the duke comes a little too unbelievable. This guy who really should not ever become a male lead was insufferable for quite a long time towards his new wife during the first chapters and an absolute failure as a father (just like ANY father who traumatizes his child is a failure, sorry for being blunt).
Also, let’s not forget: in the “original story” this duke Zahar was also described as a really bad person – just as horrible as the original villainess that/whose body the female lead has possessed.
Even if such a guy might change for the better slowly, but only if he himself wants it and puts effort into it, a manhwa-typical change into a blushing shy puppy never just “happens” so quickly in reality, and certainly not just by being loved by a self-sacrificial woman…
