It’s also very possible the saintess this early in is in the copium phase. Like making a teen adjust to a major change like this can have serious acting out. Heck, even young adults moving away for uni have a tendency to make risky choices and excess in ways they wouldn’t have at home because the experiences are addictively novel and mature choice vs. instant gratification is a tough learning curve for most. She’s been dropped into a fairytale like scenario and added bonus if she is korean they tend to socially stigmatize dating during the teen years where you should be studying meanwhile she has jerk priest whispering ‘date the hot guy’ in her ears.
I sure pity the ypung emperor! He cannot live for himself as is, and now he’s been manupulated with both the holly empire on one hand and some self-centered modern girl on another, who only cares about her own interests! The guy sure is pitiful.
