WHY just WHY its ALWAYS like this in Korean historical plots?
Be it a movie or a comic, it ALWAYS follows this damn plot. The gentle, kind LOYAL guy who has been by the FL’s side protecting her and is secretly in love with her but keeps his distance out of love,
is a PEASANT and is ALWAYS the one whos left behind!!!!!!
‘Cause the ML is the prince, the king or some other high and mighty aristocrat/royalty!!!!!

Even in the famous drama Dae Jang Geum, the ML who was of a lower social standing was a military official no less!!!
Its as if theyre trying to say commoners should go die or so it seems!
Guess they are too busy emphasizing on Confucius’s teachings that they forget about the mainstream belief of the 21st century which is gender/class equality!
I know its only on the surface but the majority of the people living on this planet from all walks of life who are called the middle-classes want THIS even if its only an act.
I dont know why they are so obsessed with this kind of plot. Seems like they just love tormenting their readers/viewers over such unjustly broken hearts.
It makes you want to sob your eyes out for ALL who fell in love and lost their love due to social status ALL THROUGH HISTORY!
