Dunno about the storyline… first a princess going after a mercenary as her love interest and when his supposed love (FL) left for her to take him, she somehow tracked her down (presumeabely), involved her in some scheme with forged evidence to kill her off with much publicity?
Not believable to me in the first place, but let’s say that princess has low self esteem and wants to kill off her new lovers former girl, why not just kill her secretely instead of such grand scheme for a girl from the woods, who is on top familliar with all those new hired mercenaries… well, maybe there is a good backstory for this.
I think the hope that Fabian would save her was cuz her wounds never healed, the pain merely lessened. So she likely still had the lingering hope that Fabian would save the day and live happily ever after like a fairy tale tucked deep within her heart. Especially since she seems to had assumed Fabian rose to power, considering how he came to mind upon her accusation. Tho then again maybe I’m confusing things cuz idk if this is a empire or kingdom that the ml is visiting.
I get she tried to die because she had no one and no place to go. That can do a number on one’s psyche.
She should have at least said thank you to her savior though. Smh
