how is the mc dumb? you commenters always come to the dumbest comclusions. why in the world would he tell people he’s not close with about the book or about his magic in general? at least his close friend understands all this and didn’t open his mouth just going along with what he said even though he knew he wasn’t being open about it. everyone and their mom would have a field day with him, approach him constantly nagging, people would try to steal this book, he’d have to be on guard all the time. like sure the tower master is questioning him, but at least thats 1 single person, maybe this girl might be curious which i wouldnt see an issue with her knowing either. once hes come to a certain level of mastery which he could protect himself then sure revealing everything would be worthwhile, but right now he can barely hold his own. come on guys, use your brain before you rant about a mcs actions that actually make sense
