@IfIHadToPickADad BRO HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO WRITE A WHOLE AHH PARAGRAPH 🤯🤯🤯

@LNikto what she’s doing is called malicious compliance. She was planning to stay quiet(in his eyes) until he opened his mouth and told her to enjoy it. She’s also playing the role he assigned to her. He’s expecting her to become a Villainess so she’s acting like one to keep him believing the divorce is good for him. She’s playing the long con.
Besides, she’s only making him look bad. She never signed an NDA. So, she can defend herself just fine. All she has to do is tell people about the way he treated her while they were married without including the affair. Even that much would wreck his reputation. Maybe even more so when the affair comes to light. Nobody but him and Serwen know that Malena knows about the affair. When the truth gets out. And it WILL get out, all Malena has to do is play the part of the hurt ex-wife. After all, its one thing to be a neglectful but cruel husband. He might have been shit but at least he didn’t disregard his vows COMPLETELY. It’s another thing to be that and having an affair. It throws his treatment of her in a completely different light.
Before, people could claim that he loved her but, didn’t know how to show it right. Which is shitty but, not unexpected. People do say that in real life because, for the most part, humans as a species want to see the best in each other. It’s part of how we survive. Once news about the affair gets out, it’ll change the perspective of the narrative. He didn’t love this dutiful wife who adored him and was the perfect partner. He couldn’t even uphold at least one of his vows. And that’s if she tells anyone how he treated her behind closed doors.
If she doesn’t. Then, again, when the affair gets out. It’ll destroy his reputation but in a much worse way. Before, society could forgive him(gross as that is) because his marriage for him was loveless. But, if no one finds out about what their marriage was like behind closed doors it’ll look like he deliberately played with his wife’s feelings. Especially, if the mistress is going around telling people that he was telling HER he didn’t love Malena and was just using her to up his social standing.
And then we come to Serwen. I’m hoping it’s a mistranslation but, if its not then Serwen being a slave is actually a thing that would work against him as well. After all, historically slaves didn’t get much of an education if they did get one at all. It would look like he cheated on his wife with a naive and helpless slave girl who didn’t know better. If its not a mistranslation and the author actually made Serwen a slave then we have to pay attention to how its handled. If it is mistranslation then Serwen is a commoner and should know better.
And this… Kind of got away from me didn’t it? But, either way Malena comes out victorious as a victim.

I feel like she shouldn’t did it… She attract too much attention and it would be better if she just stayed quiet for 3 days
