Throughout Heavens and Earth, Idris, alone, is the narrow-minded one.

Why are there comments saying her deserve it!? Like honestly see it from a realistic pov. He is mentally and Physically damaged. In his first life after he fought with his sister, she died. His family died and he had no one and with a society that would talk about his face and health. Yes he had Madilyn and he did reach out to her BUT IT WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING that cause Madilyn’s death and he clearly wuz traumatized. Are u 12 yrs olds saying that he should suffer more??? If it was the FL instead of the ML you guys would feel empathy for her.

Well I have different opinions with Idris but I don’t say you are wrong. But as someone who came from military family, raised in a military camp resident area, and my brothers joins the military and I work in military hospital myself…. I can understand how trauma cause others. They can be a completely different person from before the tragedy happens, have trouble with everyday life. I’ve seen a lot of minir cases where the soldiers injured during training. Eventhough it’s a minor injury (thank god the world is peaceful where i am) but still it leaves some scars to them. Mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually… plus.. in the story there is outside force that further weaken his mental and physical with the treatment by the quack doctor… their marriage lacks communication makes it even worse…. so yeah.. i understand Nottingham’s feelings and madelyn’s desire to start again…And no he doesn’t kill her. He accidentally pushed her and coincidentally she was standing at the stairs.

why in gods name would i feel empathy for the guy who emotionally abused, controlled, isolated and then caused his wifes death. killed because he thought she wanted to leave him ??? trauma doesnt excuse any of that.. ptsd isnt a get out of jail free card.
I’m aware of what that war was like, im aware of trauma and ptsd. sorry you think men should be able to abuse you because they’re troubled. Kill you because they think you’ll leave them. i might be a child but you have dogshit taste in men sweety..

The childish comment below must have been someone living in a greenhouse and knows nothing about war and empathy.
These naive self-centred children know nothing about mental illness such as PTSD.
