Sorry but I have to say it, during a seizure putting something in your mouth to avoid biting your tongue IS THE WORST THING TO DO!
The correct procedure is to have the person lie on their side, possibly with something under their head and time it to see more or less how long the crisis lasts to report it to the emergency services (if they last too long it could be a problem). And obviously don’t stay on them, allow them to breathe so that they don’t panic when they wake up, that phase is already psychologically destabilizing for those who have had a convulsion

Before anyone says anything, I know this is set in the 1900s, but there are many people who still believe today that you should put something in your mouth during a seizure or they simply just don’t know what to do and it’s very important to assist someone in the correct way💜
