Tbh surprised the valia family wasn’t executed or given a harsher punishment since they willingly disobeyed a decision made by not only the council but also his majesty and furthermore, attacked another noble’s people, killed, and kidnapped the person meant to be free instead of imprisoned again, beaten and threatened her, and tried to execute publicly like as if he has that authority even tho it is likely up to the council on such matters. Like the duke blatantly did whatever he wanted despite being told by those with higher authority “no” and went beyond it.
