extremely lame manhwa. I’ve barely made it seven chapters in and I can already tell it’s bullshit on bullshit all around. first of all her brother intruding on her personal space and yelling at her, grabbing her however he likes, and generally berating her while she let’s him do it is portrayed as “concern” rather than another form of abuse. secondly, the whole “she’s rumored to be evil” is taken way too serious to a ludicrous point in which some random girl believes she actually killed her brother. how would she kill a stronger MALE if everybody believed she was a weak noble lady, without any formal sword training up to that point? it makes zero sense. finally, one of her former bullies in her past life apologizes to her after seeing her do well, and she actually shake his hand (????) despite the story itself implying he’s fine with picking on weaker, less trained individuals such as her past self. what kind of dumbass logic is that? to make matters worse, FL’s depression is played as complete apathy with a sprinkle of “coldness”, and while that could work given the proper characterization (if she actually had a strong set of morals or will, for example) in this case it just makes her a dormat that let’s everyone walk all over her while she internalizes shit. it’s so frustrating, and just so weak in general. it feels like a middle schooler tried to write a cool story with a “emotionless” FL but doesn’t really know how to that, so they just emulate badly and comically stupidly whatever other works of the genre they happened to read beforehand. it’s astonishing this kind of poorly written shit is still being illustrated and published, to be so for real.
