I think the artist is drawing her friend to be kind of evil, when really she’s just strategic. I wish they wouldn’t depict her like that just for being smart about how she goes about getting information.
Also most feel sorry for her friend but Helga didnt tell her because she is classist and the issue would challenge their friendship. Instead of doing that she just left without a word, Maybe Helga wants to keep the image of them having a good relationship instead of the possibility that it was broken off as her last memory. Although it would be nice if the friends finds out Helga is part commoner and she stays her friend I think because Helga never told her she’d get upset and cut her off if she ever finds out
