I know how hard and emotionally draining it is to always strive for perfection because a lot of people expect something from you. I also know how verbal abuse can destroy ones sanity and mental state. I grew up being emotionally unstable and I had outburst of anxiety attack were I hit my head on the wall everytime their voices and words resonates in my mind.
No amount of luxury or money can ever erase the pain so how could you casually say those words? Various life experience? If you did experience how painful and traumatic a real abuse is I wonder how can you talk like that. Her emotions are valid her actions are valid… The mother deserves the trouble and her sister? That useless girl she’s not even harmed. In fact it depends on the parent’s selfishness if she gets to marry the crown prince other than that she’s completely safe. Unless Helga directly slap her or attack her intentionally you can’t just say that she meant to make her suffer. She hates her but at least she’s strong enough to hold back and not hit that girl’s face. The crown prince loves Helga but she’s dull and drain from everything so all she wanted is to be set free… It’s not really her fault the Prince goes insane, in the very first place he admitted it was his fault that he rushed things up and it’s his choice to love her it’s not like she forced him to the situation. Live the fl alone🙄 she’s one great person who struggles to find her own healing, let her be 🙄

She lived in luxury and had the opportunity to marry the crown prince (who loves her), plus she is gifted with incredible magical powers. Didn’t have a happy childhood so what? many people in real life haven’t had a good childhood or been mistreated, but not everyone plans revenge for years, that’s not normal! the world would be full of killers hahahaha.
The story is interesting but the protagonist passes a very wrong message from an ethical point of view, fortunately this is only a novel.
At last, if you want to take revenge only involve the culprit, not the others.
The only real victim in this story is the poor nanny.
to be honest, she lived in luxury yes but don’t most people who had been mistreated hold a grudge against their attackers? for one, shes not exactly involving other people. we haven’t seen her do anything to her sister yet. unless you count her attutide which is reasonable. since her sister is the indirect cause of her abuse. she only plans to cut them off to live in peace. AGAIN, isn’t that what most people do? sure, she has luxury, the crown prince and magical powers but she’s not free. plus “…has been abused all her life, where?” it’s not just physical abuse, it’s also emotional abuse. she has literally been called names since she was SIX. she literally gets thrown in the attic/basement and has been neglected and abused her ENTIRE LIFE.
in nobilty, you cant find a way out as a woman unless you marry. she could have gotten with the crown prince but that would chain her down once again.

What an amazingly awful take. Spectacularly. Yes, I’m certain that abuse is fine as long as you have food and a roof over your head. Except it’s not. I suggest you read up on Maslows Hierarchy of Needs or even basic parenting.

In my opinion, what she’s done is actually fine. Her plan was actually to leave a dent in the duchess’ s ego cuz she was all abusive to helga because she wasn’t her daughter. She probably didn’t reveal that she’s a magician because she knew what the duchess’ will do or probably for the sake of hiding her identity since none of the people she knows know she has powers.
