The moment that girl Hyllian showed up a thought came into my head thinking she’s the real daughter because the maid who raised Hyllian seems sus. Imagine she knows she was ‘not her real’ daughter but she received unconditional love? Some people have different strengths than others. It’s not a matter of bloodline, but of both previous experience and simply what they are drawn to. Hellian is not good at the same things as Helga, but she will find her place, if people stop trying to get her to be someone she’s not.
I feel like Helga is actually the real daughter. The maid spread the rumor so that in the future her own daughter would be able to become a noble lady, fooling even Hillian and ruining Helga’s life. Otherwise she wouldn’t have let it be slipped early on and wouldn’t have at least checked up on her own daughter. She raised Hillian with a lot of love to make up for the fact that she stole her life as a lady. Meaning the maid is kind of compassionate. No way someone like that would ignore her own daughter.
Spoiler: I saw on tiktok that Helga and Hillian are the twins and the Duke’s children with the maid. He took his child with the maid, which happened to Helga, and swap her with the Duchess’. He did all of this in order to make sure his child was in power/the heir. The actual child of the Duchess is the crowned prince. Now I don’t know what happened to the queen’s child, if she had one.
I really hope Helga stays away from all the emotional trauma from the dukedom and pressures from the imperial family to simply enjoy her life.

SPOILER Yep. Theyre twins from the maid. Duke did something shady to the duchess that made her believe she gave birth to one (I think she had miscarriage or gave birth to a stillborn). Duke doesnt care abt anything and just want at least a useful heir for the name.

About the crown prince’s issue, I guess he’s sincere about his feelings for Helga. He truly loves her and wanted to protect her, but the timing is the problem. She needs space and time,but he want to rush things for the sake of his love for her. He should respect her decision and support her
