itskat her stepmother kept her just cause they didn’t want people to know that their daughter went missing, and yeah she was desperate to find her real child but while doing that she neglected her other child. In my opinion her mother didn’t even raise her, it was more her nanny and her maids, and her self.
I genuinely have no idea who I should empathise with. On the one hand, the mother was a complete and utter b!tch, but on the other hand she had to raise a child who she knew was not her own, and was the product of her husband cheating, and her own child had simply been swapped by the very woman who the husband had an affair with. Also, with the sister I’m pretty sure she is sincerely kind, I believe because she actually grew up with parental love she was more innocent. I have nothing against her, unlike some people in comments I don’t mind that she is sort of oblivious, since she never was but with the harshness of reality and the hierarchy of nobles. But she is needed as a stepping stone for the mc’s justice, which is greatly deserved. Additionally, Rohan/Lohan or whatever could’ve been used in the mcs revenge plot, but her current one is probably more effective, even if it means disregarding both his and her sister’s feeling. But I definitely know the mc needs and deserves her revenge and justice in life.

Wow she still loves that woman. But tbh imagine your husband having an affair and that woman he cheated with switched your baby. It’s a given she would become messed up in the mind and full of hatred. She didn’t get to raise her daughter she didn’t enjoy the luxury she could’ve given her.
It’s so hard to just not love someone. I wish I could not love my parents because they’re toxic, but they also love me and care for me and do everything for me. Ahhhh
