Second, for Helga she cannot avoid feeling the resentment about her situation and disdain towards Helianne. Yes, both may have been the victims of the family but she chose to attempt to create her own place in the family by working hard for it. Yet it was only ignored and was planned to be taken away from her to be served to someone else in a silver platter. It’s a realistic reaction to feel and react that way. Cutting off someone from your life for your mental and emotional health is okay.
