Tbh I was kinda surprised the crown prince wasn’t at the auction. Seeing as he’d likely want to get the diamond before winterfeld so he could be like “ha! Look what I managed to do that you couldn’t!”, especially since the prick has a jewelry business where he acts cliche by trying to force other stores to close including melisa’s.
Isn’t it also bad for the count to even let a dangerous thing happen at a respectable, high-profile event? Like it wasn’t bad enough to insult/endanger Melisa, but to possibly screw up the venue…
That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Count was off’d in the background.
