I think they’re going for more subtle expressions. You can see her eyes and mouth widen and she’s visibly sweating.
It seems to me like she’s dissociated or is shutting down due to the stress of the situation.
There’s also the more stylized/simplistic faces like when she’s listening to him talk cars and goes ಠ_ಠ

Even though she knows the future but the hostage situation was still a suprise to her and yet there was still no expression on her face…. idk, it kinda annoys me more when artists make their main character’s face so nonchalant that even if they were stabbed, they’d still show no emotion
