Our teacher in PE class suddenly announced a dance battle (we were studying dancing and we’re at that topic where hiphop, popping, b-boying are discussed and we only needed to take a written exam to finish the semester but he suddenly decided to do a practical exam). Reporting and speaking in front of a crowd is something I struggle (tho I can manage if I am given a time to prepare). The sudden announcement caught me off guard and I started to feel dizzy, the voices around me became fuzzy, my neck felt hot, my breathing became uneven and ragged, hands are shaking and my lips were shut. That feeling and my vision spinning intensified as more names were called ( I knew it will be my turn soon because names before mine was called already). We don’t even need to be good at dancing, we just need to move confidently. I’m not good at dancing or any physical activity like sports, so that nade me more anxious. my skin temperature especially around my face was kinda feverish and I’m feeling nauseous while i feel cold sweat at my back. I failed the class and had to take a written exam because I wasnt able to move— just breathing and sighing in front of everybody. I never wished for that reaction it was embarrassing for me too— Just because it didn’t happen to you, doesn’t mean it’s being dramatic. Never invalidate situations like this, because this do happen in real life. And not all people with ‘anxiety’ experience this. So dont use your ‘I myself am a person with anxiety’ as a justification of your argument.
I can understand her. When you’re not used to that much of people around you, you’ll have anxiety, a panic attack and you’ll hyperventilate. And considering that she’s not used to the dress she’s wearing as you know, she only wears old-fashioned clothes, I mean long sleeves and almost cover everything, and then she suddenly has to wear something that’s out of her comfort zone, it will definitely be uncomfortable. It’s like you’re used to wearing baggy clothes and you suddenly wears fitted revealing clothes and you’re not mentally prepared. For me, it’s kind of a no no. And as you can see, she was so shocked that she’s glued to the ground. I’ll cry too.
And about that shawl. You know she’s from a province and that’s her debut meaning first appearance to the high society . At that moment she’s probably thinking of what to do cause she doesn’t have any experience that she didn’t notice her shawl was gone before she enetered the room cause it was removed at the same time she was slightly pushed. And again, she’s not mentally prepared. When the door opened, all she noticed was the stares. She was distracted by the gossips and knew she has to walk cause it’s necessary as a debutante to introduce herself to the monarch. But as she walks, things started to sink in so she panic and the shawl that would have been of help to calm her damn and convince her that everything’s fine cause she’s not exposed, was not there, that’s where things started to go down. And she also said that herself “My shawl is gone. When did it disappear?” So, in conclusion, she ain’t dumb. Put yourself in her shoes.
So someone stole her shawl, she clearly knew that and after quite a few time she says “omg, where is my shawl, that means they can see everything😱😱” I mean she seems kinda dumb atm
