I think Bjor was a nice guy and the situation with gladis changed him.Because for me Erna’s cry is one of fear, but Gladis’s is one of guilt.I think when she got married she was already pregnant with the other guy and I think Bjor was in love with her and found out the betrayal that night… I feel like he’s depressed… It’s just there living for the sake of living…. And he compares Erna’s actions a lot to Gladis… So I think maybe he might have got her wrong
