Hmm… my point of view on this story is so different with everyone. Not like I side with him, but Erna doesn’t like his old self but when he tried to improve himself she just think it’s unlike him or he’s lying? Then what does she want from him? She should just talk with him from the start, keep endure until you break has never been a good solution in relationship. Their situation went so bad is partly her fault too. She just keep everything to herself just like him. He’s an arse but he did care for her in his own way but the lack of communication just made things worse.
Nah she very clearly explained how his actions hurt her so much. The recent Bjorn inner monologues showed that he was still struggling to understand why he was wrong. He honestly believed he could just show up be a little nice for a while, wear her down, and she’d just forget everything and go back. It wouldn’t matter how much Erna tries to tell him. He truly does not comprehend how he broke her heart .The sting of her continuous rejection is finally making the man reflect on his own actions. He is finally undergoing some personal growth. You can’t make someone be better they have to want it for themself.
I agree with what you said. But what I don’t get is the story from the begining, he didn’t force her to marry him. He asked, she agreed. She had her chance to comeback to her old life. He paid his way to her so having her not expected him to give her luxury or angry is just weird bcuz why didn’t she feel that way when they didn’t even had feeling back then? What I want is her threw a cup at him asking him how dare you asked me to move on from my child’s death in weeks. He’s selfish and clueless but he still protected her in the dark like with her father, something she can’t never did by herself & just want her to live without worry. I can see his character still has a lot of room to improve but the story just made them miscommunicated and pin all the faults on him. Other FLs still try to talk & solve their problems, but I didn’t see Erna want to try, she just accept what she think a wife should be, she put herself into a cell first & when she found out she can’t do it, she run. They love each others but didn’t want to fight hard for it, so I just found they’re the same.
