Like, I read the spoilers below, but she’s acting so out of character right now – just going along with whatever he claims! What happened to needing to appear strong when the opponent controls the situation?
My gripe is: they sold us on a girlboss revenge plot starring a cunning FL who controlled the board. What we got is her constantly being yanked around and any actual progress she makes herself being written off.

I read somewhere that the emperor loved FL’s mom but she married the Duke (FL’s dad) instead. So, the emperor, together with the previous pope, made up that oracle shit to make FL stay in the palace… now the current pope is just telling her the truth.
It’s actually really messed up, but what the ML is saying rn is the truth and also, the Crown Prince is not aware of all of this scam either… No one except the Emperor and previous pope knows about this.
