If someone got mistreated for years, that is a pretty normal reaction from her. Yes it is wrong but the only thing she knows is that people are bad inside and only do good things to get something from you or want to use you. It is extremely confusing for someone in her position if they don’t want anything from her. And it can get even worse. The stress she is putting on herself trying to find out what they really want, what bad stuff they really do etc can lead to hallucinations and self sabotaging.
And yes a person that never learned that there are people who don’t try to use you, hurt you….. Won’t accept that there are people who just want to Help with nothing in mind.
This is the life of someone with a lot of traumatic experience or short PTSD
