MY READING HISTORY
You don't have anything in histories

Why does it always end like this? I don’t know man, I feel like all these kind of stories have the same problem. They all start with a great incipit, but somehow lose themselves in the middle. We got the classic transmigration into a side character/villain of a story, and that’s fine, it’s a trophy I don’t mind reading over and over again. Then we got the male lead that should somehow be a threat to the FL so it all revolves around he trying to survive while for us it’s crystal clear that the ML is in love with her (again, another trophy I don’t mind reading over and over again). But then it seems like that half through the story the plot is already close to end, and so the authors come up with some random bullshit like war, assassination attempt or heaven forbid the second male lead messing everything up. Like: the author didn’t think this through and just had the funny idea of “yeah, the female lead has to survive but the male lead actually loves her” without properly thinking through all the plot, and then we suddenly get the lycans. Like, come on. I’m tired of this. It ruins the story. I don’t need a sudden random war between fairy tales. I don’t need the plot to get dragged on because we still can’t get that happy ending because or else the story would be too short. The plot just loses itself along the story, and I’ve seen it happen multiple times. With this story in particular I couldn’t even understand what happened at the end, because everything was so random an chaotic for the last chapters that I genuinely got no idea how everything was resolved. It was a drag for the whole lycan narrative arc, and then it felt rushed in the end.
This is yet another story that disappointed me deeply. Maybe it’s my problem, but I do wonder if I’m not the only one thinking this.
