yeah, it was more of a shock for her that all of her accomplishments were not because of her blood, sweat, and tears than the fact that it was his father that killed her parents. like it’s one thing to know that your parent’s killer never got justice. you can work that out. it’s another thing entirely to say that her life was a lie and it wasn’t her hard work that got her where she wanted to be. that must feel sickening.
