Yeah she was living in a fantasy world looking for love like her sisters but I don’t blame her, her only major choice in life was to pick a guy to marry at 17? The fact that the rest of her life would be affected by this choice makes it even sadder that she had no others. I do think it’s her fault for not leaving him or waking up after reality hit but she loved him, I guess, and love makes you do crazy things. At least she’ll get a second chance, personally after that I wouldn’t care for marriage and I’d focus on bettering myself and making sure my life in the future would be secured financially
The emphasis on “true love” in the comic. I don’t get it. If the two of you get along and respect each other, can’t you find happiness together even if there isn’t any romance? When her sister asked her if they truly loved each other, she thought that she simply liked the way he spoke to and treated her. If he wasn’t trash, that would’ve been a valid relationship. The comic is acting like the fact that the Duke made her kokoro go “doki doki” means there’s no contest (and of course he’s rich, handsome, and we’re going to find out that the way he treated her before was some sort of “misunderstanding”)
Also, the fact that she went for the guy who only spoke about gems for round two (after 23 years of a horrible marriage) instead of immediately dedicating herself to bachelorettehood is… more naïve than I’d expect from a 40 year old woman.
