Okay here’s my speculation, they actually already got married in the duke timeline and during the timeline period the duke has some kind of resolution that he was making her unhappy (?) Idk and that’s why in the current timeline he ignore the shit out of her but once he knew that she will always have an unhappy ending with the other guys he decided to love her again? Although I have no idea what happen before maybe she die and said something misunderstanding? Or maybe he did something horrible to her and regret it? Or maybe she told him something that made him think she don’t wanna be w him? Idk but Ill just wait and see ig
