@mandragora yea but bad food being repurposed as livestock feed wouldn’t be that out of the ordinary either. I mean pigs in vegas literally will food rotting in a dumpster in 115 degree heat, I’m sure chickens and pigs would be able to handle some stale bread.

French toast was invented as a way to use up stale bread from the day before. Bread without preservatives goes bad FAST. If this world doesn’t have either of these things, it seems wild they are a wheat staple country.
