The one thing I find disappointing is when the female lead Lucia doesn’t know what to say and just stands there dumbfounded, even though she is usually refreshingly blunt and straight-forward.
So when Leon asks her if she finds him disgusting, why doesn’t she just ask what he means instead of just thinking that she doesn’t understand him and waiting until he draws back?
trust me, if your head is wired different, then “social stuff” might as well be someone talking university math to a toddler XD
The main problem when you grow up is: It´s still “university math”, but now you understand enough that you know they´re talking math, but what exactly? Nope, please dumb it down even more. Just that it´s only complicated for her. For anyone else? Completetly normal and simply, what do you mean you don´t get it??? Oh, right, you´re “dense” (or “dumb” if it´s less nice folks).
She clearly understands human emotion, but the bridge from “he´s suddenly sad” to “I´m the reason” is not there, because her brain says “I did nothing, so I CAN´T be the reason”, leaving her utterly confused and frozen long enough for him to walk away. Or the thought of “I ll better give space for now and ask later” or “I better nor bother and make it worse” (not with her personality luckily) to creep up.
