See a lot of people hate the Fl here but I don’t. He threatened to kill her and her son if she didn’t come with him. What choice does she have? She’s manipulating him and doing what she can to get away. I think all that is admirable. It’s just I’ve read spoilers so I know all of this running away was a waste of time because she’ll just go back to him. What I don’t like is her lack of resolve. If her reasons for returning were because she realized that she can live comfortably and her son will become duke and even though she doesn’t like Killian he doesn’t beat her and she can use him. If she returned to use him I would get it. But she returns because she actually forgives him and she does become insufferable but at this point in the story I liked her
can’t the duke like run a background check on Rowena to know if she’s a prostitute or not? the entire misunderstanding is so stupid lol he’s not a mastermind criminal genius, he’s a fcking idiot with potatoes for brains apparently.
I honestly don’t know why I’m still reading this lol maybe its the masochist in me who wants to suffer.
