I guess he is one of those characters who had a sad childhood **that doesn’t justify his actions**. Maybe his parents were in a toxic relationship ,cheating on each other so that’s why he also treats FL poorly (not in terms of money obviously) . And after she leaves and she becomes independent he will start to feel bad he didn’t treat her better and bla bla bla …
I just hope it won’t just be a story like “girl leaves toxic relationship just for her to go back to that toxic relationship”
i don’t really like any of the main characters, truthfully. The duke sounds sleazy and the fl sounds like a spineless pushover. I might read the next chapters if it improves. I’ll need to read the synopsis to learn what this manhwa is actually about.
