I’m thankful YummyTea has some ideas. Because I feel totally lost and confused as to what exactly is going on past or future. Whatever it is hopefully they’ll get through it and find real love.
For me if you look at the flow of the story its common sense that he is not himself and he is just experiencing another man’s memories… And hypothetically the image of the young lady and her lover could just be reflecting Dietrich and Charlotte just to make us confuse that these 2 MCs met a long time ago… Wew but I do believe that they can somewhat be, the reincarnation of the 2 lovers in the game… Which explains why they look so much alike… And they said it was a cursed mansion… That part I dont understand how? so IDK there are so many possibilities.. And I’m excited to know how it unfolds ❤️❤️❤️
@l0ckhart it’s probably creative direction, they do that a lot in manhwas. And you kinda can’t expect manhwa stories to make sense, and as far as I see my theory makes perfect sense within the story, if it doesn’t please tell me why, I’m genuinely curious. (No hate, just curious😅)
Also I’d like to clarify from my previous theory comment. There are 2 kissing scenes, the one from last chapter, which I think happened after the headband scene, and then the creepy kissing scene from a few chapters ago which I think happened after the kissing scene from last chapter. Also there might be another possibility on who the creepy man is, it’s Charlotte’s fiancé (the one she was going to marry in a 100 days). It goes like this, first Charlotte meets Dietrich(?)/ the man, and falls in love with him, but then something happens and she’s unable to leave with him, so she kisses the creepy man to get out? But this one also makes less sense as the fact she has a fiancé was announced after the creepy kissing scene, so the creepy man is probably still Dietrich(?)/ the man.

Charlotte is obviously the young lady from the diary entries, and when she saw Dietrich(?)/ a man giving her the headband, she was reminded of the painter. She then used him and his to get out of her ‘prison’ (the scene a few chapters ago where she was kissing a creepy man and thinking she’d do anything to get out). Also this scene is very different from the one before. In this chapter Charlotte doesn’t seem hostile towards Dietrich(?)/ this man while in the kissing scene from a few chapters ago she does. Perhaps something happened in between.

(The one who fell in love at first sight and gave her a headband) We can say so as in these past sequences Dietrich appears to be a noble, which we know he wasn’t (except the dagger scene from last chapter but that’s an anomaly). Also when Charlotte was kissing the man a few chapters ago, he acted creepy, which Dietrich isn’t. So I think Dietrich is just experiencing someone else’s memories.
2) it’s just Dietrich, cuz of manhwa logic. I don’t find this one very probable though. The author would have to explain how Dietrich is suddenly a noble and the time line just doesn’t match up.
