If the crown prince was supposed to die from that attack (arrows) started in the original and war, then how did the empress poison him in the original also??? Isn’t he supposed to be dead by then?!? Or I’m I tripping…..
The weapons used to attack the crown prince had poison on them. Typical assassin trick in these stories that way if the weapon doesn’t kill them the poison will.
I was thinking that too – how could they condemn the empress so fast and without even the emperor present – but I guess you can argue that it was part of an inside plot to dispose of her too, so they might have rushed things precisely to not give time for the emperor to reach, and since Prince was dead and things were chaotic, maybe they delayed giving the news to the emperor, might have even delayed funeral to prevent emperor to come so fast… But since now prince is alive, they might have not been able to rush things that much
.
Well, idk, I guess I’m pushing logic a bit too far but yeah… “possible…ish”
I hope the emperor will play along. It looked like he was too ill to travel, but here he is and he looks really surprised.
I wonder why the empress even got executed in the original story? Since at this point the prince Kiaros would be dead (hit by the arrows that our female lead saved him from), his funeral would have been around this time – it’s very unlikely that the emperor would not be present for the funeral of his own son.
And even then, the execution of an empress shouldn’t have been super rushed, so the emperor should have had the chance to defend her or just pardon her.
Well, actually pretty typical for “original stories” in isekais, they rarely make sense if you put all the pieces together that are “revealed” throughout the manhwa.
