Was thinking of dropping this so went skimming novel…so gonna give some info i learned

So disclaimer as said just skimmed so dont got full details but this will have some minor spoilers
.
Novel was very slow paced nearly 400 chapters and more then half was filled with rubbish back and forth that had no overall impact…this adaptation is roughly averaging 7 novel chapters became 1 here….for example her meeting first prince (ML) after moving away was early 90’s in novel chapters

this is what i learned so this will have some minor spoilers

MC..She is actually pretty rich but is hiding it
.
Oldest step brother…pretty much just self centered even after basicly stealing the title from MC he knows she still holds the rights to the majority of all the mines etc in the domain so he actually has this facade of being nice even without the brainwashing to get a hand on them

Younger step brother…not much to say already seen it basicly just a rapey yandere…will get jailed for assaulting royalty later so no more escaping
.
MC mother…cheating skank had an affair before MC died with the step dad
.
Duke/contracted EX….Very narcisitic only thinks about himself and getting duchy safe before proper marriage…..MC was just a pawn in his plans…..even before brainwashing he had MC investigated so he knew she could”t refuse his offer for her own safety he did not love her till she left the usual…..and yes he did fall in love cause will learn later if your true to your hearth the brainwashing fails…saw it breaking for the biggest part when he realised what he lost

2nd prince….again narcisist with yandere tendecies doing stuff on a whim…not only does he want to get rid of the duchy but also wanting to kill the MC for no reason just his own self made delusion she had something to do with his mothers dead…..(my own speculation it was her step brothers and mother who just greedy for the fortune she still holds)

So saying it again i only skimmed novel so there huge gaps for me aswell but hope this helps a bit to people that are also still in doubt to follow this further
