I kinda dislike Stevan because of this chapter
He is angry because ML “touched” FL and worried about his sister’s dignity while he “touched” Victoria. He also pushed ML to be responsible without even caring that it could mean FL would live a loveless life.
Aside from the affair the brother is having I think this was best outcome. At first he is doing the best he can for his sister and friend; he knows she has feelings and tried to shut them down when he still thought ml was against marriage. He doesn’t want fl to be a spinster but wasn’t forcing a marriage until he saw this so he is logically securing the safest way for his sister to live, if it weren’t for the affair being discovered they likely would not have gotten married to each other as efficiently. Hopefully brother marries Victoria if he really cares about honor.
