Hmmmmm, no, fucking bullshit. The Duke treated her coldly, but she was never abused nor denied any right as the Grand Duchess, meanwhile Rubia was abused and neglected to death. I knew about this solution to the curse from the novel spoilers, but it’s still fucking bullshit and wrong. The person who suffered the most in the Duchy was Rubia and she’s gone. The current Rubia is not the same person, and the person that all the members of the Luxen Grand Duchy owe apologies and compensation to is gone. At least her wasn’t destroyed like in some other possessor stories, but the life she lived as Rubia was suffering from beginning to end. While the Duke was a neglectful husband, he was a worse father and willfully allowed his wife and second daughter to abuse his first, he is culpable in her suffering and death.
