I like when the stories are not fairy tales and we can read about a really deep and complex characters like her.
I mean, trauma doesn’t always heal with time. She’s been through a lot in her past life, she closed off her heart because she doesn’t want to make the same mistakes, and he looks so much like her ex that it’s making it even harder for her to forget and move on. People are always so quick to criticize a FL but if a ML acted the same way people would be saying stuff like “Aw, poor bby has trauma” 🙄 I’ve seen it too often and it’s annoying.

She’s doing it for him.. She knows that she’ll never have feelings for him and the only reason she’s been helping him up till now is because of how much he looks like her Ex. She doesn’t want him to misunderstand her gestures as liking when its all cuz of her ex. So basically she is completely right about her decision.
