TLDR: criticism is unjustified because it can be disproven as idiocy or ignorance
Honestly I feel like I have to say this because I think the rating and criticism is undeserved.
If you spend even less than 10 seconds typing in “Joseon” and looking at the results, you’ll immediately see a date saying “1392–1910”, so yes this CAN take place in the modern era (not to mention that if you take two fucking seconds to look at the image next to the title you’ll see a MODERN American and South Korean Flag).
There are sometimes questionable moments like I once saw an AK which was only invented in 1947, but other than that it’s obvious that actual thought was put into the story by the Author.
