Just FOR ONCE I’d like it if the “original” male lead and female lead would at least get along fine or even start dating.
Especially at this point, it would be very refreshing if our heroine would not end up with the way-too-obvious male lead, but instead help the original story to move along and find her own happiness with someone else.
Estella Margaret had a nice fiancé herself some years ago, as we learnt en passant, so it’s a pity we never got to see him and he never even tried convince her to marry him by sending letters all this time 🙁
