On one hand, going down the mentally unstable route is kinda fresh and interesting, but other other hand, I actually feel bad for her situation a bit., in the “I’m creeped out and want this resolved ASAP” type of way. Hope she gets the proper help she needs to move on from this phase quickly.

In the novel, Ray handles Tiriel for Ciella and Ciella just kinda pretends to be a damsel in distress so that she won’t have to deal with Tiriel’s bullshit (going so far as to pretend to faint). While I don’t mind Ciella using manipulative cunning to avoid Tiriel, I do somewhat prefer the direct “okay, let’s fucking talk” route.
This is actually a decent twist, usually these stories end up with the og fl being a white lotus b*tch. But here she’s actually obsessed with the fl or something?
