When potatoes first came to Europe from America royalty used them as decoration and jewellery (imagine greeting a queen with a large potato necklace 😂).
Legend says than a royal chef (don’t remember if spanish or french) accidentally droped his decorative potato in a soup and only realised once it was boiled. As it smelled nice they tasted it and like this the first potato was eaten in Europe. (nooooooo, potato-dono!!!!! 😭)
