Plus I’m very suspicious of the timing of this prophecy. The MC’s mom and the empress went missing and suddenly there’s a prophecy?? it kind of makes sense but they don’t show gaspard’s thinking well enough. if she has royal blood, she has a claim to the throne, which makes her survival A Problem for the royal family, especially with the might of a ducal house behind her. the best move would be to hide her away and make a show of distancing her from the ducal house to give the royal family the impression that she has no real political support. but how do you explain that to a three year old? you don’t. sure she’ll hate you, but at least she’ll be alive to do it.

Sorry but her family is annoying. They throw her in an annex building and let servants’ rumors run irresponsibly which caused her to be mistreated on the way, fueling her misunderstanding, and they never once bothered to explain to her why she had to move but expect her to act the same way towards them?? Like “yeah sorry gotta kick ya to that mansion omfg how can u say we not famileh!??”
On MC’s part, how hard is it to say I’m illegitimate why are you caring for me
Like I get it it’s to keep the plot going but it’s bad execution

I don’t care what the father’s intentions are but I’m mad annoyed with him. He just throws a small child to a seemingly dilapidated building without even discussing any of the issues with her amidst a baseless rumor. Did he even stop to think the kind of a conclusion outsiders would come to? Did he ever consider how she would feel? Absolutely trashy attitude.
