I will misunderstand it too if i was Hildea. Hildea doesn’t even like flowers or plants so she can’t fully appreciate plants that the duke is sending her. If I were gabriel, i would send a plant and dresses too (but ofc he though fml likes plants so meH-) Then she would see the long letters and jewelries gabriel send for rose— ofc she would misunderstood.
