So you want to convince me that when he proposed at the ball she just ran away with her eyes closed without falling all the way to the exit of the villa (going through the dancing room, the garden, the stairs probably) crying, no one stopped her and then she just left with only the dress she wore to live in the village ALONE and she survived for a whole month. I see absolutely no hole in this plot.
